First Progress Reports

I have tried being better at posting more-- I promise!!

This is the first week, since I have started, that I feel as if I am doing a pretty good job. Everything else has felt just like chaos and as if I am just trying to stay afloat. This past week I have been trying to prepare my grades for my first official IPR (Interim Progress Reports). Tell me about a paper nightmare. Students finally are starting to care about their grades. They are coming, trying to make up work and get all absent work. And I am trying to balance out whether I should actually accept the work, or not. Especially for those students that I know who are not trying... or haven't been listening.

Last night when I ready to submit my IPRs, I was going back through my grades; double-checking the suckers. When I was opening one class of these, I found that one period grew. My fifth period (which I have had for about a week) was taken from other classes and so I finally have gotten those grades completed from the other teachers, then last night, some of those students were taken my fifth period to my sixth. PAPERWORK HELL!! Talk about this all be complicated.

I will get them done before I leave for the weekend. Also, I came home last night and my right eye was extremely red. I put a few eyedrops in, I woke up this morning and it was even more red!! The odd thing about the situation, it doesn't hurt. I am going to make an eye appointment for later today. Hopefully the eye doctor will give me some drops to cure... whatever this is.
