Long Over Due!!!

Hello friends and family,

Hopefully some of you have yet to give up on me in following the blog. Yes, I have been doing a horrible job in keeping caught up with this. Life, like the rest of you, has been complete chaos since school has started. It was a whirlwind of you have a job, sort of, and begin the day before school starts! I LOVE what I am doing, however, I am constantly trying to stay caught up due to the fact I was hired on so late.
As of right now, if you have not heard, I am teaching 3 classes of Junior English, 2 classes of Senior English, and 1 Sophomore Advisory! Phew!! The hardest part of this entire situation is not having a single classroom to myself. I am sharing a room with a Spanish teacher, who thinks the room is pretty much her room (which I teach 3 of the classes in, and is also assigned my room because she is part-time), a portable with another English teacher who is fantastic, another Social Studies teacher, and a Math classroom :) The key is being organized-- very organized! The main classroom that I am in an old teacher workroom because all of the other classrooms are full AND the high school 400 students about where the limit is supposed to be. In the tiny classroom, we have to fit 38 students.
Yes, there is even a purple wall. The poster in the front is covering a painted picture of a window that was overlooking the ocean. Believe me when I say it was ugly.
The way the desks are set up is the best possible way. Unfortunately, I cannot get to all of the students when I am trying to walk around the room. However, there is no other way.
This the 'teacher corner'. Kinda. Janine (the other teacher) and I are sharing this area for both of our classes, to store and plan. Talk about a dancing act. Also off to the right hand side is a bathroom. Students ask to use it, I don't want them to use it for various reasons, Janine decided it was okay for her students. We have different ideas about that type of stuff... we are working through it.

Again, the desks are crammed in there. You can see that that left hand side is for the English stuff... with the Shakespeare poster :)

That is a quick up-date. Hopefully I will have more sooner than later!!
