24-Hour Vacation

One of my closest friends from college decided to move back from Penn. He is originally from Penn, but he is moving back to west coast for various reasons. He isn't moving to Seattle, but decided to visit this area for about a week before moving down to Portland.

Wednesday I went to pick Justin up in Burien at the place where he is staying. On my way there, I realized I had forgotten an important item: the cell phone. I didn't realize how important cell phones are until you do not have one. Furthermore, I thought I was picking Justin up at a house, not an apartment. I sat outside the apartment building for about a half hour calling his name, trying to the little call box, and various other techniques before going down the street to a vet. hospital to use their phone. No, not to call Justin because I do not have his number memorized. But I called mom to call Justin. Anyways, he didn't answer. I went back to the apartment building to see if he was standing outside- nope! I had to use the restroom so I drove down the road to an Albertson's and drove back. Found him standing on the sidewalk waiting for me.

Anyways... that is one of many stories that we have from the last 24-hours. Here are some pictures to of those hours... On Wednesday (after the fiasco) we went walking around Alki Beach-- we ended up in the water. It was a nice day to walk around. We found a house for sale. If you are looking for a steal, waterfront property at Alki is going for $1.9 million.

Thursday Justin really wanted to go back to Seattle. Instead, we didn't go to Alki, we went to the Convention Center. The Bite of Seattle was being set up around us. Justin wanted to go to the fountain. He wanted to run through it like a little kid. Unlike Justin, I am not that much fun because I didn't want to be wet for the entire day...
Definitely didn't stop Justin from trying to get me wet. Up above and down below are the pieces of evidence showing how he was trying to get me wet. He said he wanted a picture by the fountain. Lucky for me, I am quick enough to smile and get out.

Not a bad picture for running in for a quick moment and running out... but not before Justin trying to pull me back in...

But I did get away. Perhaps working out, running, and lifting weights have been helping my strength!
This was inside of one of the buildings at the Convention Center. We had to run and find a restroom. This is built out of Legos. Those little things are pretty awesome.

I tried getting the entire Space Needle, but this is the best I could pull off! It was a fun time having him up here. I am tired, but at least I had a good time with an old friend. Luckily he will not be across the country anymore or out of the country at the moment. Hopefully, I will see him soon again.
... but as for now, back to reality (a.k.a. work).
