As you can see, exhibit 1 off to your left, this would be me RESTING my knee after a run. It is the good ole' 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off routine. Even though it did not hurt too bad, it has a little bit of a discomfort to it, and normally I wouldn't pay too much attention to it, however, I should take care of my body. Yes, I am growing up... tear, tear.
This morning I opened up the cafe. I was running late, which has been a reoccurance lately (it is a pet peeve being late), the streak should be ending soon, but it was so nice to run outside to the car and not have to de-ice the car. Instead of having to bundle up with layers, coats, gloves, hat, etc... it was warm (haha yes, warm is relative) enough to just wear a sweatshirt to work. It was pretty slow this morning, I was able to hop on the internet, work on some homework, get some other random chores done. It FINALLY started to pick up around 10 or so, which was a blessing. There was a peer which came in today, like always, I was being friendly while I was making her drink. She said she had to go to work later and of course, I asked where and she said she was the bar manager at Pete's Bar and Grill. Since I haven't been getting many hours at Cafe Moro, I have been looking for another job. Thus, I asked if they are or will be hiring, she said yes. Make a long story short, she was there when it was busy and hectic (she was watching). Well I got off work and headed to the rec, like always (hence the icing of the knee). After I got home I decided to quickly look over my resume to take in to Pete's. When I got down there, she said she was just thinking about me, then introduced me to the owner. We sat and chatted for a while. At the end of it all, he said he will give me a call once he looks over scheduling. I told him if I didn't hear from him soon I would be coming back in- I do not give up that easy. Keep your fingers crossed that I have a new job!!
So once I finished up with that, I ran some errands. When I got home I had a suprise in the mail from Justin...
My Birthday present!!
Before he left Japan he did some shopping and I was lucky enough to get a pair of socks, fan, chopsticks, a calendar, and a postcard!! Thank you Justin!!Tomorrow, I have a bunch of random events going on. The most exciting starts at the beginning, I get to go grab a cup of coffee with a friend, Kyle, who I team teached with last semester. We haven't been able to see each other since our schedules definitely clash this semester; it will be really good to see him. After that, I have a group meeting for the mock IEP meeting which is on Tuesday. The three of us have a lot to go over and I will have to create a smooth way to start the entire meeting, still rolling through ideas in my head. In concession with that, I go tutor in the Writing Center. Hopefully there will be people coming in. The last time I was there, I was sick without a voice, trying to help an exchange student with his marketing report; he was laughing at me.
With that, I am excited to say that I get to prepare for a presentation that I have in my late class on Monday night. It shouldn't be too hard to prepare for, or give for that matter.
Random fact: Thinking about doing the St. Patrick's Day Dash in Seattle with my friend Evan... maybe, we will see.
