Back in the Palouse!

We hit the 50's today in Pullman! It was a fantastic day- even though I am stressed, it was a great day because of the sun. There is a big difference in the attitudes of everybody because the snow is pretty much gone and the sun is shining.

First off, mom is most likely going to have heart failure because I am putting up the pictures from our bike ride while I was home...
This is the beginning of the journey by pumping up the tires and dusting off the cobwebs, mom and I were ready to go.

Not really sure where to go, just letting the road take us where it takes us, mom and I ended up going down a couple hills and up a few...

As we continue on, mom was falling a little farther behind. I had to look back to make sure I haven't lost her yet...

And we saw this gorgeous view... As you can tell, the sky is clear and the sun was shining. It was amazing!!!

Yesterday on my trip home, I was dropped off at the airport a couple hours early by mom and dad. There, I then checked in and the lady at the Horizon desk told me that I needed to hop on the next tram right after security. I was ready to get stopped at security (like I normally do) however, I went through smoothly (yay)!! One of the TSA employees asked if I knew where I was going, I replied with a sigh and "maybe." I was just a little confused because I didn't think I needed to hop on a tram, but the other Horizon lady told me I needed to. Needless to say, I would have been at the wrong area if I hopped on there. So I was sitting at the airport, doing some homework, however, I could not focus because these little kids, probably one, three, and five were running around screaming and kicking a soccer ball around. I was getting a little annoyed with the entire situation. Then, our gate was moved. I had to go find Gate C2D... oh how that was fun to find.

I still had about an hour to wait, I decided to just sit and relax. Well a guy sat down next to me that was a professor from Berklee (yes, that is how you spell it) in Boston. It is a musical college, and I talked to him for a while. He was going to Moscow, ID to perform on Thursday. On the plane I didn't get a talkative neighbor. Oh well, I tried to sleep but with only about an hour in the air, it is a little hard to do. The flight attendant was entertaining, he kept calling it happy hour and it seemed like he was trying to get those who were drinking either the beer or wine drunk. Kept coming around and filling up the glasses (ha,ha). Anyways, we landed about 15 minutes early. Pat came to pick me up and drove me home, which was nice of him.

Today was a little hectic, trying to get quite a bit accomplished and reorganized since I have been gone since Saturday. This morning I had to print off homework, finish a little bit, make sure I had a bunch of papers which I had to submit today for student teaching. In my first class, we are taking on a class of high school students under our belt to grade one of their units: poetry. It is all online, we (us, "teachers") because we don't really know how to nagivate nor really how the rubric is being used. Plus on top of that, our professor assigned us our midterm which is due Monday: a unit plan. How wonderful. After that class, I started to run around campus with my student teaching papers. I started out in the Education Addition to submit my blue papers (about my background check) and to sign up for fingerprinting, there I had to go run to the French Ad. building to pay for something (I don't even know what, to be honest), then ran back to the Ed Ad. building to give them the tab that was stamped. Instead of being able to pay with a personal check or cash for the fingerprinting, we have to go get a cashier's check (for whatever reason).

Anyways, there is more but I really need to do my midterm that is on Tuesday (the mock IEP meeting)... that stuff, I NEED TO FINISH and then paper which is due tomorrow :)
