Double Deuce part I

It is a mad dash to celebrate my birthday after Christmas and before I leave to go back to WSU. As mom, dad, and I looked at our schedules the best day to celebrate was today. In march with the past years I picked the meal and type of cake I would like to enjoy (I think mom let's us pick the meal choice because she doesn't want to think of a dinner idea). For the double deuce, I decided to go with one of my favorite meals: stew with cornbread and for dessert apple pie.

When I walked downstairs and went into the kitchen I saw that mom put out those napkins on the plates, I think that mom was a little confused.

The joke is referring to the present. Mom and I went to look for new running shoes right when I got home from school, however, that is the one present I did not get at Christmas. Then the shoes were moved to the stairs, I walked past them everyday since I have been home. Needless to say, the shoes were a huge suprise!!

I am starting to get really excited about opening new running shoes! My other shoes were getting a little bit ratty to be wearing, plus they have definitely been hurting me feet.

What a suprise! AND it was the right shoe size, how awesome!

Super excited to wear these when I get back to school. I don't want to wear them outside quite yet, don't really want to get them dirty.

Also, HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Happy Birthday little cousin! Those shoes do look like they can take a pretty good beating. You'll be a running machine. Hope you're getting some rest and gearing up for the next semester!
