Monday night I tossed and turned all night, fortunately last night I got some sleep. But on the flight slide, however, one of my friends texted me last night at about midnight or 1 am. I keep my phone next to me on the stand next to my bed since I turn on the alarm clock in my cell. It scared me, and I was not too happy with the entire situation since we could have talked about it today... rooming together next year... whatever.
That brings me back to why I was tossing and turning all night on Monday. Since university likes to make money by sucking it out of students, they are going to be doing it to me. I was supposed to be able to graduate, well walk in May, but things change. Yes it is exciting... Anyways I have about three English classes left to take (required) and 11 credits to take which would make my last semester of college (ha, not so fast). My English classes, yes all three of them, are not offered until next fall. How wonderful!! That is the bad part of the news, but there is a flip side to this entire deal. The good news is that i am so close to grab my minor in history that I am going to finish my minor before fall and then finish my actual degree then. The bad news again, I have a huge class load for the final part of college since I am close enough where if I do take a huge load to earn that minor, but not close enough where it would be made easy to obtain the minor. Also, I will have to stay here during the summer to take 8 credits (sad). In the end it will be worth it-- I am just a little frustrated with the entire system since this will put me about a year behind, sort of... I will walk in a year from this December 7th. And then student teach after that. FRUSTRATED but also like Brett told me, I can look at it as an investment into my future, why? Because as I was looking online at school districts, English teachers are needed the least. But if I am able to teach two subjects, I will be considered more "valuable" to the district.
And then that brings me back to the text from my friend Meggan. She and I are in the same boat, having to find an apartment lease that will end after the first semester for next year. Meggan is an elementary edu. major. Anyways we know that campus owned apartments work with the education department for this exact reason, so she and I decided that we want to room together!
Alright I am off my soap box... I was driving down Stadium Way yesterday after class, going to grab some ingredients for dinner. Well I look over and I see this car, well it looked like a half of a car that is bright pink- it kind of reminded me of a clown car. At first I thought it was a joke, but the good news is that I saw it again today on my way home for the rec center. I will try to take a picture of it the next time I see it... if I see it again.
I have some pictures to put up of the downtown cafe that I work at also... I just have to remember to download them!!! Oh and the last piece of good news, only about 4 weeks of classes left (AND that includes my finals!!!), I should be finished before everybody else. The Edu. department and English department have our "finals" or I guess, final projects due the week before finals!!! YAY!!!!
