One of the reasons for quitting my other job was because of the owner/boss of Zoe Coffeehouse, he was too serious and quiet spoken. All of the employees were able to walk over him and get their way without even trying, for the most part; there were some exceptions. Well the owner of where I work now is NOT quiet spoken, very sarcastic, and definitely cannot walk over him. The first part of this is from a customer, to Keith, the owner of Cafe Moro with a suggestion...
Dear Cafe Moro Management,
I come to Cafe Moro for coffee + to study. As many otrher people often utilize Cafe Moro as a place of study. I think you will agree w/ the importance of atmoshpere. As such, I would like to recommend, nay, strongly recommend that all Cafe Moro employees wear hats while working. The blatant display of hair is a blatant display of individualism. A place of study must be structured + calm. Individualism in employees is neither.
Thank you
The next part is the response from Keith. I found it way too hilarious and his personality to not post this...
I wanted to thank you for your comment, but more so your patronage of Cafe Moro.I very much appreciate you taking the time to notice and offer suggestion. With regard to uniformity, we have two rules. Clean, neat appearance, and when on shift our baristas must wear the Moro apron. Hats are not allowed. So as you can see sir here is where I disagree, nay, strongly disagree with your suggestion. As to the subject of your note... hats; should they be fedoras, cowboy, feathered, bowlers, berets, pork pies, top hats, beanies, visors, ballcaps or chapeaus? I don't want my baristas wearing hats. I don't hire carbon-copied automatons, I hire individuals, each for their different personality, skill, and unique qualities. If I wanted uniformity, I'd have hired the Stepford Wives. We pay our baristas to be intillegent thinking idividuals who deserve better than "hats". Cafe Moro is many things to many individuals. It's a place to meet, to talk, play music, debate, laugh out loud, surf the web, sip, slurp, gulp and chew. And yes, some even come in to study. Cafe Moro is an individual, independent operation. Purposely not franchised or a branch of something else. We're individuals who broke away from the crowd to do our own thing. Run our own business and do it our way, individually. Up to this point we have been very successful without hats. I worked with the unions for several years and saw what lack of individualism did for productivity and personal initiatve. Nothing. There are places where employees wear hats. McDonalds comes to mind. Perhaps that would make a better study environment. We at Cafe Moro appreciate your business, however we are individuals that are concerned for your academic success. If the lack of hats causes your study to be less than successfull, I strongly suggest you locate an alternative place of study. Not that we don't appreciate having you at Cafe Moro, but more that we are genuinly concered for your academic well being. The Daily Grind may be able to accomodate your concerns as may Zoes or Starbucks. My hat's off to you sir for taking the time to leave us a note.
Sincerely,
Keith Bloom

Not one to be an individual in the free thinking aspect of coffee buying and consumption of said product, I can see the man's point in running a socialist, nay, communist coffee shop. Please have a copy of the communist manifesto available. As Marx said so eloquently, "In bourgeois society capital is independent and has individuality, while the living person is dependent and has no individuality".
So, the only thing left to say, is I hope the Cougs kick some dawgy butt after Thanksgiving. He He!!
That's awesome. I can see why you like working there. A cool boss makes all the difference!
