Oh Pullman

I realized that I did not post truly anything about graduation. It was a great, snowy day in Pullman. Luckily everybody made it to Pullman safe and sound. I was getting worried since the the snow arrived on Friday. I did not see anybody on Friday night, but went to dinner and bowled with Meggan's (roommate) family.
I was waiting to hear back from mom and dad. They kept saying they were close to Pullman; however, it was getting towards the time of having to leave for Beasley. I decided to go with Meggan and her dad to Beasley so I would not be late. Luckily, everybody made it safely to Beasley by the time I arrived there.
This is when the graduates were directed to move down the tunnel-- finally. I think we waited about a half hour downstairs before walking out. I found out later we were waiting for people to arrive, or at least give extra time due to the weather conditions. Also, I would like to point out in the picture above about one of the English directors. His robe is all wrinkled, but just having a good time without caring-- stereotypical English prof.

As we were walking in, we were just trying to have a good time. Sarah was rocking out to a song she was singing.

This would be my advisor and professor-- more like a mentor. Barbara is amazing. She did so much for me while I was at WSU, helped me so much. There were only 5 English majors that walked, and one English teaching major (me) that walked. The professors are not required to come; however, she wanted to come watch me walk. She told me she gets too attached to us. I am extremely thankful for her!!
I got a call from Brett asking whether I could see them or not. I figured I should take a picture of what I was able to see-- yes, that would be just a big crowd of people. I eventually found them up, up, up in the stands, but at least I found them.

These are the two English friends I was able to walk with: Katie and Sarah. That is right after we received our 'diploma.' We were one of the first groups to receive them-- pretty exciting!! After graduation, I was able to see everybody and hang out. After that full day, I was pretty exhausted; I fell asleep around 10 pm.

The past week has been slow going. Not having a final until Friday a 3 pm creates a slow motion pace for the week. I am certainly glad that it is Thursday, and it is past noon. My roommate and I were discussing how we are in limbo; not really knowing how to feel. Right now, it doesn't feel or seem real...

...we graduated, but begin student teaching January 5th; most of our 'things' are emptied out of the apartment, but we still have some 'things'; mostly everything is packed and clean, but not everything; trying to say goodbye to friends, but not really wanting to... I have never really felt this before; I think it is a little unnerving. On Tuesday, Meggan and I had our last 'fun' in Pullman together. The rest of this week I have had to either study or pack.

I cannot believe I am leaving Saturday. I am ready to leave and start student teaching-- BRING IT ON!!
