Everyday People

I know a couple of you that read this blog have met one of my closest friend, Justin. He graduated from WSU in May 2007. He is back at home in Hershey, Penn. If we are lucky, we can usually make a phone date once a week to catch up and talk about life- in a way to keep each other on their toes. One phone call he mentioned something about writing a book, more specifically a series of books about growing up, gearing it towards different age groups. I did not think much of it at the time. Then, he called me up again and asked if I wanted to be the co-writer for a couple and the author for the other ones. Needless to say I said yes. Right now we are working on two books, we both just finished the introductions to the books. I am not able to work on it as much as he is able to because of obvious reasons. We are working on more of a specific focus, but we are going to be interviewing and reviewing material together, via email, MSN chat and phone. It will be a long process and if actually works out, I think it will be amazing.

So I added a couple links to my English Teaching links. The two I added are not necessarily teaching links, in another sense they are. The first one I added was my online blog about grammar. In my grammar class we are blogging, trying to improve our writing. It can be interesting since I am playing around with my writing style. The second link I added was Randy Pausch's last lecture which can be a teaching link to motivate students and myself in general.

Alright I am off and running again!

I am so laughing! Your last post was lamenting the lack of free time and here you have decided to write a book (oh no, a SERIES OF BOOKS)! I love it. There must be a Curtiss gene that prevents us from saying "no" to new things...
Good luck with the writing. Sounds exciting!
