This past week there has been a variety of weather, which has been nice. The Palouse has been able to experience thunder and lightening, rain, sun, wind, etc... In the beginning of the week it was raining quite steadily so I decided I should invest in a umbrella, however, the day I decided this, it stopped raining. Which on the flip side, amazing since it was sunny, but I wanted to use it since I had bought it.
Before I went to work yesterday, I was able to enjoy the beautiful sunshin. It ended up being around 89, or so the sign said by Dissmore's while I was driving to work. A big group of friends decided to play soccer, luckily I was not the only one that had not played my entire life. Unfortunately I couldn't stay a long time since I had to go home and get ready for work. As I looked in the mirror I noticed a little bit of a tan- tiny, perhaps microscopic, but needless to say it is there!
Holding onto the weather situation, as I was driving to work I looked over towards the university, there were massive black/blue clouds headed our direction. As I drove into Pete's parking lot I realized what I was supposed to be doing today, serving/bartending for the deck... outside... excellent! I walked inside and asked Deanna (manager) about the situation because it was still quite warm outside, thus, whether I was even going to clock on or not because it was not busy. I stayed a while, then Blake who was the server for the restaurant part wanted to leave (heck yes). But, a big group of 10 college students walked in, they wanted to sit outside since it wasn't raining yet, yet being the key word. As I was creating their drinks, they decided to come inside since it was getting cold and started to rain. The weird part is that there was no thunder, I thought for sure there would at least be some tiny bit. Work last night, for the most part was good. It was busy to keep me on my toes and out of trouble, which was great.
A couple days ago at work when I walked in, one of the cooks (Charles) said that I looked really familiar. I started to name things I have been involved with at WSU, I did not think outside of the box until a day ago when I walked in and he said that he still thinks he knew me from some place. Well, I finally asked the age old question, where are you from. He is also from Puyallup and went to ER, however, he is a year younger than myself. His brother, Jamie also went to ER, who I don't know either. Yesterday Charles told me that Rob, another bartender is also from Puyallup, but didn't go to ER. It is such a small little world. But, when Rob and I worked last night together we started to wonder why we never ran into each other in high school since we have quite a few mutual friends AND we graduated the same year.
The night before (Friday) I didn't get out of work until about 11:30 or midnight-ish and last night was about the same, I didn't leave until about 11:30, which is nice because I had been leaving on time and I need money, so the extra hour and a half is welcomed.
As I drove down to Cafe Moro this morning to open the shop, I looked off to the left at one of the water foundtains in Pullman (I wish I had my camera) it was full of bubbles! Perhaps I needed some spice in my life and that is the most exciting thing that has happened and reality it really isn't that exciting or fun, but I stopped the car for a second to look at it...
As I sit in Cafe Moro, college students and parents are moving boxes, driving by Uhaul's. The apartment contracts are ending the first of June, Pullman is buzzing quite a bit at the moment. I am trying to study psychology, it is so stimulating....
