Saying... A Lot

I have had a very productive morning, at least this far but since it is the afternoon the morning is over so it was productive. First of all, I actually was able to sleep in and my body let me sleep ing today-- I was able to sleep past 7:00, my body woke me up at 7:45 instead. The 45 extra minutes were absolutely wonderful! At any rate, I went to the gym early this morning and then went to Les Schwab to replace the battery in the car. Then I realized since I wasn't working on a Saturday I had time to work on homework (amazing, I know). For one of my classes, History 444 (The Renaissance) I have a book report due this up coming Friday. This means that I need to go find a book to read and write the report on, the only bookstore we have in Pullman, or close to a bookstore is either the Bookie or the Bookie, Too (not very good options). Anyways, as I entered the Bookie, Too and went straight to the history section to find a book about the Renaissance. I browsed and looked, searched... couldn't find anything interesting. I already own Utopia by Thomas Moore that I have yet to read, which I can for this class, just can't decide if I really want to; I will probably end up reading it. This next part most of you will laugh at... but this is how you can tell if you are a future teacher of America. I decided to look to see if any other books were out that sound interesting. I was going through the Political Science area and I go really excited, I found a book called American Dream. For anybody that read my blog a couple weeks ago with my American Dream unit plan-- I thought of using it for my unit plan; revamping my unit plan and correlating that book into it. This is me, being a future teacher of America!

As I am sitting at my work, I realized that this is like my second home here in Pullman-- thought I would share with you some pictures of my home. My friend Monica, who works here, and I joked that we should set up a cot in the kitchen and move all of our stuff into Cafe Moro since we practically live here!

The one picture shows behind the counter, where I actually work. The other picture shows the lobby, sort of. And in the back, back portions of the pictures is where the kitchen is located. That is where I spend my time pestering the chef's and the baker. But in the end, I have gotten a lot of wonderful tips from them both and great recipes to share! It is a fairly big place. It can probably hold up to at least 75 people, however, we don't have enough chairs for that many people. We have, as of now probably about 60 or so. Business is starting to pick up, finally, a little more each day. And the owner is thrilled since we did make pay roll last month, which means we will probably make it again this month!
