Lesson #1 ALWAYS make sure there is enough ink in the cartridge if you must print something important off in the morning. Example of important documents include: midterm paper, lesson plan, and worksheets for the lesson plan. Oh, did I mention that don't wait to the day they are due to print them off.
Lesson #2 If you did not understand the first lesson, then remember that Wal-Mart doesn't always have items, such as ink cartridges in stock. That means, there must always be some type of back up plan. The back up plan must include making sure the roommates are home, with their computers. So if the back up plan doesn't work, make sure you have another back up plan.
Lesson #3 Hard work eventually pays off in the end. I recieved my grade for my critical framework that I posted in my past blog, down below, and I recieved a 100%. My professor emails us comments and our grades, I was reading it at work and I was jumping up and down. Needless to say, some of my fellow peers were laughing :)
Lesson #4 When you are exhausted, still have a paper to write this what you must not EVER do: pour yourself a glass of wine and try to write it in bed. The end result is not what the original plan entails.
Lesson #5 Working out, even if Iam tired is a definite must when I have a long, stressful week. This method of stress management seems to be working great. Throughout this week, I made sure I built in time to go work out, the end result is what I wanted, I wasn't too stressed about the load of work and was level-headed... I was accomplished many things this week!!!
Lesson #6 Even if life makes you fall, laugh and pick yourself back up-- even if it is in litteral terms. Falling as in, running from class in the rain because you didn't bring a rain coat and have to run across campus... and then some... but also remember that sidewalks can be slippery if they are on a hill, always walk across sidewalks.
Lesson #7 Friends and Family have the cue down to have you stop and smell the roses. This week, one of my good friends, Evan, left me a message with him singing. The song was just a random song on the radio, he heard it and thought of me. He decided that I should hear it because it would make me laugh, so he decided to leave a voicemail... definitely created a huge smile on my face for the rest of the day. As for my family, just hearing their voices seem to calm my nerves, to create a peace inside.
Lesson #8 If you don't realize you are making an impact on somebody's life, you most likely are. It is the little details in life!
Lesson #9 Talking no a daily basis with professors, having them know you by name. And even if it is a little weird when they see you at the gym, stop and talk to you (even if you already don't like talking to people while working out) and asking about your day and so forth, it can be useful in the end. Sometimes when they are out of their office and not in a classroom, they are less stressed. Less stressed professors are happier, more likely to give extensions on projects...
Lesson #10 There are no rules in life
